WINGS2009 is an international experience for Guides and Scouts from all around the world. It will be based in Windsor Great Park in the Royal County of Berkshire in the UK for a week starting 1 August 2009. All who attend will have fun, be challenged, have adventures and make new friendships that will last.

WINGS2009 will have all the great favourites from WINGS2003, WINGS'98 and WINGS'93 and some spectacular new ideas to match the start of the second hundred years of Scouting and Guiding. Book this date now!

The fabulous news is that there are now more participants already signed up with expressions of interest for the complete WINGS2009 international experience than were present at WINGS2003.  There are over 250 registered Units with additional Units signing up each week. 27% of the registered Units are from outside England from 25 Countries so WINGS2009 will be a full and complete international experience for all. And a special thank you to the over 300 staff who have already signed up for WINGS2009. A very big welcome to you all.

There will be a variety of opportunities for you, your Unit and the whole of WINGS2009 to make a difference at WINGS2009, in the local Berkshire community, around the world and back home in your village, town or city and some of these are listed here.

WINGS Ambassadors

We are looking for energetic volunteers in each Country around the world to help spread the word about the fantastic WINGS experience.  You need to have a knowledge about Guiding and Scouting in your own Country and how to access the appropriate  communication channels. You will be involved as a key member of the WINGS2009 Team throughout the build-up to WINGS and at WINGS itself more

To apply for specific roles at WINGS2009, first Register and then log on to the StaffZONE and hit the Apply for Role button and take it from there. Roles currently inviting applications are the members of the WINGS2009 Project Team who will manage the delivery of the Complete WINGS2009 Experience.
