WINGS2009 depends entirely on volunteers, so thank you for your interest. We have listed the broad groups of roles in the WINGS2009 Team. Over the next twelve months there will be more specific roles listed as the framework for WINGS2009 develops. In each of these areas there are opportunities to contribute in many different ways. |

Teams
Activities - The Activities Team provides the programme of activities throughout WINGS Week
Entertainment - The Entertainment Team provides the programme of entertainment, mostly taking place in the evening
Food - The Food Team is responsible for the food provided to each unit during WINGS Week
WINGS Ambassador - WINGS2009 is seeking to appoint a number of WINGS2009 Ambassadors in each participating country to help distribute information about WINGS and to channel advice and support. more
Sub-Camps - WINGS2009 is organised in to set of sub-camps and the Sub-Camp Staff are responsible for supporting the units in that sub-camp.
Ho-Ho - The Ho-Ho Team is responsible for supporting Units who would like Home Hospitality
News - The News Team generates the pre-WINGS newsletters and a daily newspaper at WINGS
Outreach - The Outreach Team ensures that WINGS fully supports Guiding and Scouting in Berkshire
Publicity - The Publicity Team ensures that the whole world knows about the fantastic WINGS experiences and the adventure, friendship and fun over the week
Sponsorship - The Sponsorship Team builds partnerships with organisations that can help support WINGS2009
Branding - The Branding Team is the core of the Communications Team ensuring that WINGS2009 Brand is at the heart of all communications
Shops - The Shops Team provides an array of shops to cater for everyones needs
Infrastructure and Logistics Team
Site facilities - The Site Facilities Team provides all the facilities on the WINGS site
Site infrastructure - The Site Infra-Structure Team builds and maintains WINGS from an initial green field site
Safety and Security - The Safety and Security Team ensures the safety of all at WINGS2009
Staff - The Staff Team supports the complete WINGS Team both in the run up to WINGS and during WINGS itself
Admin - The Admin Team is responsible for Unit and Staff Registrations and payments more
IT - The IT team supports the WINGS Team with appropriate IT Resources including the technical elements of the WINGS2009 Web Site more
Project Team - The Project Team is responsible for delivering the Camp and consists of the Heads of Teams (8), the Camp Leader and the Deputy Camp Leaders. The team will meet monthly from autumn 2007 and oversee the camp while it is running.
Steering Group - The Steering Group is up and running and provides the link between WINGS and the County Executive Committees of GirlGuiding Royal Berkshire and Berkshire Scouting and is concerned with governance, overall policy and strategic issues. The Steering Group meets quarterly and supports the Project Team in delivering the WINGS experience. Members are appointed by the two Associations.
