WINGS2009 and the World Scout Jamboree

If you were involved with the 21st World Scout Jamboree in Hylands Park in the UK in 2007 we hope you fully enjoyed the fantastic experience. Although WINGS is a well established international camp we want to build on the experiences gained at the World Scout Jamboree to make WINGS even better.

We very much welcome members of the JOT/JDT/IST from the World Scout Jamboree to join the WINGS2009 Staff Team. There are opportunities to use your experience to help plan and deliver WINGS2009 over the next 2 years as well as lots of opportunities to just help before/during/after WINGS2009 week. If you want to bring a Unit - you will be very welcome .

There are a number of differences between WINGS2009 and the World Scout Jamboree other than numbers.

The first is the cost - everyone on the WINGS2009 Staff Team pays the same fee - £60 - This includes the camp facilities, food (prepared for you in the Staff Cafeteria) and the activities organised as part of the Staff Sub-Camp Programme. In fact all you need to provide is a tent to sleep in. more

The second is that all is on-line - register, pay, apply for particular role and the pre-WINGS2009 programme.

The third is the Team Structure - We have provided a conversion table from the World Scout Jamboree Teams to the WINGS2009 Teams.
